Gurleys celebrate 60th anniversary
Bobby James Gurley, Sr. (Bob) and Sally Ann (Montgomery) Gurley celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with family cheering on the Dallas Cowboys at AT&T Stadium.
The couple was married in Durant, Okla. on Aug. 24, 1957, and have lived in Athens for over 45 years. Mr. Gurley is retired from Sears Roebuck & Co. and Mrs. Gurley is retired from Employers Casualty Co.
The Gurleys have three children, Bobby J. Gurley Jr. (Beau) and wife, Lesa Hart Gurley of Georgetown, Jeffrey L. Gurley and wife, Nicole Day Gurley of Athens, and Sherry Gurley Childress and husband, Michael W. Childress of Wylie. They have eight grandchildren, Stacy Gurley Hitt and husband, Ben J. Hitt of Bozeman, Mt., Katy and Trey Gurley of Austin, Madison and Elizabeth Gurley of Athens, Anthony Childress of Mesquite and Olivia and Kara Childress of Wylie.
