Player, Blair wed in Scotland
Lydia Helen Player and Dr. Ronald M. Blair were married July 7, 2017, in a private ceremony at the Old Course Hotel overlooking the Old Course and the North Sea in St. Andrews, Scotland.
In addition to exchanging vows and rings, the ceremony included a traditional handfasting of blessing, joining hands with a sash and tying a knot. The groom wore a kilt in keeping with Scottish custom.
The bride is a graduate of Bowie High School in Arlington. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from the University of Texas. She is a title company professional.
The groom is a graduate of Van High School in Van. He completed his undergraduate studies at Texas A&M University and received his medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. He is a pediatrician at Forest Lane Pediatrics, a company he founded.
The groom’s mother and stepfather, Iris and Lawrence Zilmer, reside in Van.
Following their wedding and golfing trip to St. Andrews and Glen Eagles Scotland, the couple have made their home in Dallas.
