Services for Jimmie Louise Beverly, 85, of Athens, were held Friday, Nov. 17, 2017 at Haven of Memories Memorial Park in Canton with Bro. Steve Glosup officiating.

Mrs. Beverly passed away Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2017 at her home in Athens.

She was born Jan. 2, 1932 in Dallas to Edward Greeson and Ada Mae Mayes.

She attended school in Oak Cliff where she grew up. She married Jerry Ray Beverly and they moved to Desoto. She worked in the banking business for 40 years and moved to Athens in 1986. She enjoyed sewing, canning and dancing in her spare time. She loved, and was loved, by all her children and grandchildren. She was a member of Tundra Baptist Church in Canton.

She is survived by her sons: David Allen Whitten, Robert Whitten, Doug and Susie Whitten, Steven and Dawn Whitten; stepdaughter, Susan and Kenneth Robbins; stepson, Glenn and Bonnie Beverly; stepson, Bill & Paula Beverly; 16 Grandchildren; and 15 Great-Grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Ada Mae Greeson; husband, Jerry Ray Beverly; grandson, Zachary Whitten; granddaughter, Mandy Beverly; and five Brothers.
