A memorial service for Pamela Anne Medina, 60, was held Nov. 18, 2017, at Tyler Memorial Funeral Home with Bro. Steve Glosup officiating. She passed away Nov. 13, 2017, from a painful illness, cancer.
She was born April 5, 1957, in Floydada. She graduated from Canton High School and later moved to Tyler with her friend, Phyllis Bishop, and worked at different jobs bookkeeping and clerking, and the job she enjoyed the most, waitressing.
She married Lolo Medina Dec. 22, 1980, in Tyler. They had two handsome sons, Michael and Dion. Both graduated from Chapel Hill High School. Michael started work at the Azelway Boys Ranch in Tyler and Dion joined the army and spent a year in Iraq and another year in Afghanistan. Dion married Lauren Bates in Ft. Louis, Wash. They lived in Hawaii until Dion was given a medical discharge. They moved to Ft. Worth where he started college. The Bates had their first child, Preston, one month ago. Lolo worked in construction. Pamela was very proud of her family. She accepted Jesus Christ as her savior in Ontario, Calif. at a young age.
She is preceded in death by her father, Ross, and brother, Philip McWilliams.
Survivors include her mother, Aris McWilliams; sister, Jolene and Kelvin Cumming; brothers, Jackie, Ronnie and Phyllis, and Bill and Theresa McWilliams; her grandson, Preston McWilliams and many nieces and nephews.
