Wednesday Study Club hears from Gatewood

The regular meeting of the Wednesday Study Club was held at the Blackwell House Nov. 15.

President Lisa Goode opened the meeting. Hostesses were Marilyn Brockman, Mary Ann Eblen and Delores Anderson.

Lisa Goode greeted the members, and thanked the hostesses for the wonderful refreshments.

Goode stated, “Vice President Sally Medley introduced guest speaker Jim Gatewood.

Gatewood is an author and speaker whose area of expertise is in and around Dallas.

His subject was “JFK and the Mafia Connection.” Using historical records, facts and related stories from eyewitnesses and others, he has put together information not often heard or known which involved the Texas Mafia in the JFK assignation.  This information was most likely suppressed due to “politics.” All in all, it was a riveting program which was of keen interest to the audience.”

The club held its annual Christmas Luncheon Dec. 13 at Mill Creek Resort featuring a “White Elephant” gift exchange.
