Forum set at Canton Civic Center

 

Concerned Educators of Senate District 2 will hold a nonpartisan forum with candidates for Texas Governor, Lt. Governor, District 2 Senate and House places at 11 a.m. Jan. 20 at the Canton Civic Center.

Candidates who have confirmed so far include gubernatorial candidates Jeffrey Payne, Cedric Davis Sr. and Danny Harrison; Lt. Governor candidates Scott Milder and Mike Collier; Senate District 2 candidate Kendall Scudder; and House District 2 candidates Dan Flynn and Bill Brannon.

The purpose of the forum is to raise awareness of each candidate's stance on public education issues and increase voter participation in the Texas Primary Feb. 20 to March 6. All concerned voters are strongly encouraged to attend this event. The Canton Civic Center is located at 800 Flea Market Road in Canton.
