DAR to honor Washington

The monthly meeting of the Van Zandt County Genealogical Society will be held at

2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 24, at the Van Zandt County Library, 317 First Monday Lane in Canton. Neches River Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution will present the program, which will be the annual tribute to George Washington. VZC Commissioner Pct. 4 Tim West will be the guest speaker.  The Neches River Chapter members will provide refreshments.   Information about joining Daughters of the American Revolution will be available at the meeting.

Van Zandt County Genealogical Society meetings are held at 2 p.m. on the fourth Saturday of each month except December at the VZC Library.
