Calling all photographers ‘Explore’ photo contest underway

Last year, Van Zandt Newspapers held a contest for the cover of our annual publication, ‘Explore’ magazine. We are excited to offer the chance for a local photographer to win the top spot in our 2018-’19 edition. We received numerous entries of photographs, but this year we are looking for something special.
This year, we are looking for photographs from Van Zandt County and the surrounding areas including Kaufman, Hunt and Henderson counties.
The process is simple, take amazing photographs and submit them to us for a chance to be a featured photographer in our magazine. Limit 10 entries per person. Each photograph must be named with a brief description of the photograph of where, when, what or who.
The winning photographer will have a page dedicated to their photographs along with a brief biography.
Last year, we had hundreds of photos submitted of sunrises, sunsets and pasture landscapes. We are looking for a standout photographer who has a wide array of photographs with different focal points. Focal points can be people, places, events or etc. Photographs cannot be watermarked and must be original photographs taken by the person submitting them.

Or- Bring a SD card/ memory stick  to the Canton Herald office during normal business hours, M-T, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. (Photos will not be taken in office on Fridays), 103 E. Tyler St., Canton.
