Bobbie Crocker 1927-2018

Services for Bobbie Crocker were held Friday, April 27, 2018, at Hilliard Funeral Home with Rev. David McNary officiating. She was laid to rest at Union Chapel Cemetery.

Mrs. Crocker, a long-time resident of Van met her Lord and Savior face to face Tuesday afternoon. She breathed her last earthly breath and enjoyed her first taste of celestial air on April 24, at approximately 4:45 p.m.

After years of struggling with her health, she can now say with the Apostle Paul, "Death has been swallowed up in victory".

She was a beautiful soul with an endless love for her Savior, her family and others. Her younger years were full of faith, serving God through traveling and ministering in song with the Pilgrimaires Quartet. She raised three God-loving children and has impacted each of her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and many others with a Godly, kind example of what it looks like to love Jesus.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Tillman Whitney Davis and Lillie Era Freeman Davis; granddaughter, Robyn Crocker; seven sisters and two brothers, Lela Linxwiler, Wilma Hill, Avis  Crietzberg, Fay Thompson, Garland Davis, Nell Stanford, Joy Nabors, Loy Davis and Woodrow Davis.

Survivors include her husband, Garland Irvine Crocker; two sons, Lynn Crocker and wife, Judy, and Robert Crocker and wife, Rachel; daughter, Dana Hemby and husband, Lance; grandchildren, Tina Poor, Amber Watkins, Elijah Crocker, Christy Jones, Josh Hemby and Leslie Quick; and 13 great-grandchildren.
