Graveside services for Mary Edith Weldon, 93, of Canton are scheduled for 10 a.m. Sunday May 27, 2018, at Cool Springs Cemetery. She passed away on May 13, 2018, in Winnsboro.
She was born on Oct. 16, 1924, in Edgewood to Homer Henry Chaney and Henryetta Wade.
She was a member of the Mineola Seventh Day Adventist Church for many years. She was a song leader, soloist, and legendary cook at her church.
She is preceded in death by her parents and husband, Frances Weldon. She is survived by nieces, Raylene Dawson and Karen Chaney, great nieces, Kira Langdon and Emily Clark, and great nephew Luke Shedid, all of Bakersfield, California.
