Carter Clark, Jr. 1950-2018
Carter Winston Clark, Jr. age 67, passed away peacefully at Crestwood Nursing Center, Wills Point, on Aug. 28, 2018.
He was born to the late Carter Sr. and Laura Clark on Aug. 30, 1950 in Dallas.
He graduated high school from H. Grady Spruce where he was one of the Apache mascots. He worked many years for Southwestern Bell Corp. He graduated from UT Tyler with his Bachelor of Science degree. He spent the rest of his life working as a civil engineer. Her even drew the plans and helped develop the Van Zandt County Veterans Memorial.
He loved cars, movies, music, UT Longhorns and the Dallas Cowboys.
He is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Bill and Wayne Tiller and two sisters, Connie Marburger and Patsy Welch.
He is survived by his daughter, Kristi (Rich) Hanson of Clarksville, Tenn., and two sons Carter (Lisa) Clark of Victoria and Daniel (Nikki) Clark of St. Louis, Mo.; grandchildren, Kylie, Kynsey, Bryce, Brett, Kaitlyn, Zoe, Brynna, Michael, Deacon and Brodie; great grandson, Xander; brother, Roger (Jo) Clark; sister, Marie Wallace; and and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Van Zandt Veterans Memorial or Autism Speaks.
Kristi would like to say a special thank you to Meg, Melissa, Dwayne, and Samantha for the care and compassion they showed her Daddy during his transition.
