Amon Brunson 1930-2018

 

Services for Amon Willard Brunson, 88, of Canton were held Saturday, Oct. 13, 2018, at Eubank Funeral Home in Canton with Bro. Randy Crudgington officiating. Interment was at Myrtle Springs Cemetery. He passed away Oct. 9, 2018, in Dallas.

He was born Jan. 19, 1930, in Crisp to Willard Hemon Brunson and Nancy Ella Gay.

He grew up in Palestine before moving to Ft. Worth. He worked for F&M Systems for several years before retiring to Canton.

He was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church, the Masonic Lodge and a H.A.M. operator. He was a strong family man that enjoyed computers, animals, and raising cattle and horses.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Jean Bradford Brunson; daughter, Juanita and Harold Hatley; son, Kenneth and Linda Brunson; daughter, Joyce and James Miller; 13 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and sister, Atha Bradford. He is preceded in death by his parents, Hemon and Nancy Brunson.
