Wednesday Study Club visits Lindale Community Theater

In October, the Wednesday Study Club members traveled to Lindale to see the Lindale Community Theater’s mini-production of the off-Broadway hit “Love, Loss, and What I Wore.”

“The members thoroughly enjoyed the presentation based on the book by Ilene Beckerman,” said a club spokesperson.

The five characters relate important events in their lives, using clothing and accessories and the memories they trigger to tell their stories.

“Poignant, touching and at times funny, the production provided a great afternoon’s entertainment for the club members,” said a club spokesperson.

In November, the members gathered at Erin Simmons’ Art Studio on Hwy. 64 in Canton for an afternoon of painting.

They chose either a fall pumpkin or a winter scene to copy, and much fun was enjoyed by all.  “I had forgotten how entertaining this could be,” exclaimed member Shirley Cockerham. “We’ll have to do this again!”

“Refreshments, laughter and creativity - what better way to spend a fall afternoon with friends!” said a club spokesperson.
