​​​​​​​Bill Freeman 1926-2018

Billy M. "Bill" Freeman was born May 22, 1926, in Mabank to Samuel Knox and Lettie Leah Norman Freeman. He went to be with Jesus on Nov. 20, 2018.

He loved his country and proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a member of Clearview Bible Church and was very instrumental in its beginning. 

He was a kind, loving, wise, and friendly man and he never met a stranger. He loved his family and friends, and was, in turn, loved by all who knew him and will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel Knox and Lettie Leah Norman Freeman; sons, Kerry Freeman, Jim Elliott, and Larry Elliott; daughter, Beverly Randell; grandsons, Bobby Jack Elliott Jr. and Robert Bryan Elliott; great-granddaughter, Jessica Tarlton; brothers, S.K. Freeman, A.G. (Buster) Freeman, Norman Freeman, and E.B. Freeman; sister: Joyce Douglas; and daughters-in-law, Debbie Freeman and Susan Freeman.

He is survived by his precious wife of 39 years, Daphine Freeman of Mabank; daughters and sons-in-law, Karon and Jack Miller of Mabank, Linda and  Ronnie Daniell of  Canton; and Barbara and Steve Glosup of Mabank; sons and daughters-in-law, Kevin and Angela Freeman of Mabank and Bobby and Dusty Elliott of Canton; daughter-in-law, Lindie Elliott of Mabank; sister, Loyce Ferrell of Canton; sister-in-law, Bobbie Freeman of Mabank; a treasure of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Nov. 24, 2018, at Clearview Bible Church with Bro. Ronnie Daniell and Bro. Steve Glosup officiating. Interment was in Elm Grove Cemetery.
