Willie Trussell 1924-2018

Services for Willie Terry Trussell, 94, of Grand Saline were held Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2018, at Eubank Funeral Home in Canton with Bro. Randy Bohannan officiating. She passed away Nov. 17, 2018, in Tyler.

She was born Aug. 19, 1924, in Grand Saline to Newton Young Luckett and Gladys Lee Jacobs.

She grew up in Grand Saline and married Barnie Trussell Sr. on Dec. 12, 1942. She was Church of Christ by faith and enjoyed cooking, sewing, and making syrup. Above all other things, she loved to spoil her grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughter, Clara and Billy Phillips; son, Barnie and Lovella Trussell; daughter, Fay and Harvey Kimmey; son, Charlie and Judy Trussell; daughter, Linda and Douglas Daugherty; 20 grandchildren; 46 great grandchildren; 40 great-great grandchildren; brother, Jimmy Luckett; and brother-in-Law, John Lee.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Newton and Gladys Luckett; husband of 59 years, Barnie Trussell Sr.; daughter, Martha Nell McLeod; grandsons, Tommy Trussell, Steven Kimmey, Douglas L. Daugherty, Terry Daugherty; great grandsons, Jimmy Robertson, Jeremy Daugherty; brother, Samuel Luckett; sister, Mary Lee; and sister, Margie McNorton.

Interment was at Chinquapin Cemetery.
