​​​​​​​Martha Sloan 1935-2018

Services for Martha Naomi Kittley Sloan, 83, of Canton, were held Friday, Nov. 30, 2018, at Eubank Funeral Chapel in Canton, with Bro. Steve Glosup officiating.  Interment was in Cana Cemetery in Canton.

She passed away Nov. 26, 2018, in Colorado City. She was born May 28, 1935, in Rule.

She grew up in Rule and graduated from Lamesa High School. She moved to Canton in 1971. Due to health reasons, she had spent the past three years in Colorado City where she was cared for by her oldest daughter, Pam, and her husband, James.

She loved making ceramics, baking, cooking and watching Westerns and Bull Riding. She was a member of Jackson Baptist Church in Canton. 

She is preceded in death by her parents, Ben and Peggy Kittley and Lela and George Adams; her husband, Paul Hugh Sloan; sister, Patsy Adams; and brother, Jimmy Kittley.

She is survived by her three daughters and their husbands, Pam and James Guess of Colorado City, Patti and Danny Brock of Kaufman and Paula and Robert Knowles of Canton; eight grandchildren, Joni Lacefield, Paul Guess, Abby and Jay Baker, Sally Brock, Andy and Courtney Brock, Nicole and Odin Henson, Jared Knowles and Allie Knowles; eight great-grandchildren, Kyla, Riley, Coleman, Bryson, Taylor, Lane, Charlie Dean and Jack; brother, Sam and Donna Adams; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers were Paul Guess, Andy Brock, Jared Knowles, Odin Henson, and Jay Baker.
