Irene Maddox 1937-2019

A memorial service for Oma Irene Miller Maddox was held Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2019, at Hilliard Funeral Home with Pastor Jerry Truett officiating.

She was born Oct. 12, 1937, in Commerce to the late Charles Marion Miller and Oma Flemens Miller.  She had been a resident of Van for 52 years and attended The Barn Fellowship in Grand Saline.  She loved flowers and gardening.

She passed away at the age of 81 on Jan. 5, 2019, at her home. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tommy Dale Maddox, and son, Bruce Maddox.

Survivors include her two sons and daughters-in-law, Brad and Melody Maddox of Van and Barry and Amie Maddox of Cypress; sister, Sandra Gray (Arvis) of Kaufman; brother, Virgil McDaniel (Louise) of Cumby; four grandchildren, Piper, Miranda, Peyton and Bradley (Colleen); and one great-grandchild, Selena.
