Services for Lois Marie Bishop, 80, of Waco, were held May 11, 2015, at Eubank

Funeral Home in Canton with Bro. Harley Gordon and Bro. Reggie Black officiating.

Interment was in Haven of Memories, Canton.

Mrs. Bishop died May 7, 2015, in Canton.

She was born April 3, 1935, in Canton to Robert Henry Carpenter and Lois Louise Dearing.

She was a member of Beacon Hill Baptist Church of Waco where she served as a Sunday school teacher in her adult life among other things such as singing in the choir, church secretary and treasurer. She enjoyed listening to Southern Gospel music.

Her life revolved around family and church. She was a wonderful cook; she enjoyed sewing and watching soap operas. She was married for 60 years and loved her children. 

She is survived by daughter, Theresa and Frank Corry; daughter, Phyllis and Ronnie McWilliams; son, Cleve and Clarisa Bishop; seven grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Austin Bishop; daughter, Deborah Adkins; and granddaughter, Stephanie Coots.
