Services for Floyd T. Stewart, 90, Grand Saline, were held July 29, at Bartley Funeral Home with Bro. Mark Winskie officiating.

Interment was in Haven of Memories, Canton.

Mr. Stewart passed away July 26, in Tyler.  He was born July 18, 1925, in Grand Saline to Floyd Vernon and Johnnie Inez Thomas Stewart.  Floyd served in the US Navy and received a Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering at the University of Oklahoma.  He spent most all of his life in Grand Saline where he owned and operated Stewart Insurance Agency.  He served more than 50 years on the Board of Directors at Cozby-Germany Hospital; 50 plus years as a member of Grand Saline Masonic Lodge #1269; former member of First United Methodist Church in Grand Saline; served on the GSISD School Board; Economic Development Board; volunteer fireman and was involved in many other activities in and around Grand Saline.

He was preceded in death by his parents; Floyd and Inez Stewart.

Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Joyce Stewart of Grand Saline; son, Tommy Stewart and Debra Welborn of Grand Saline; daughter and son-in-law, Vicki and Kirby Savage of Mineola; three grandchildren, Angie Allen, Lindsay Reeves and Courtenay Gunnels; three great-grandchildren and one on the way, Reid Allen, Ty Gunnels and Gage Gunnels and numerous other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers were Robert Bates, Bill Rowton, Jim Bozeman, Leon Clower and John Pryor.
