Eaglettes looking to extend playoff streak

Coach Robert Ivey and the Canton Eagle football team got back to work on Monday morning, putting in heavy hours during two-a-days to get themselves ready to compete for the 2015 season.

The Eagles enter the season coming off a 5-5 campaign that saw them build up a 4-0 record before injuries to key pieces on both sides of the ball derailed their playoff hopes.

Junior quarterback Hunter Moore is expected to lead the offense in 2015 after being pressed into starting duty during Canton’s loss to Wills Point in week five of the season.

Moore showed plenty of flashes, finishing 92-168 for 865 yards and 10 touchdowns through the air.

Other key returning pieces for Canton offensively will include 6’2” wide receiver Tre Fitzgerald and playmaking running back Jordan Jackson.
