Life is like ice cream ... enjoy it before it melts
Canton Place Senior Living is inviting the community to an ice cream social at 2 p.m.
today (Thursday, Aug. 27) at both its Mulberry and Pine residences located at 1835 and 1833 S. Trade Days Blvd.

We all know America loves ice cream. In fact, 87 percent of Americans have ice cream in their freezer at any given time and 48 is the average number of ice cream pints an American enjoys each year.
So yes, we all scream for ice cream! And don’t think it stops with humans – one in five people share their ice cream with their pet!
So, of course, we indulge our sweet tooth every now and again with a scoop (or three.) And you can have fun piling on the toppings to make it even better (as if ice cream wasn’t enough of a treat.) But all of this yummy goodness can pile up on the calories and fats.
The older we get, the fewer taste buds we have. So many of our seniors would live on a diet of candy and ice-cream if they could.
