Running Eagles compete at Grand Prairie meet

The Canton Running Eagle cross country team competed in Grand Prairie last week, placing 6th overall in the varsity girls division and 7th overall in the varsity boys division.

The Canton Running Eagles ran at the Ken Gaston Invitational in Grand Prairie this past week. This will be the location of the Regional Meet on Oct. 26 as well. 

The varsity girls finished 6th overall out of 17 teams and 123 runners. Karen James led the way finishing 9th with a time of 12:07. Juliana Bratcher was 19th in 12:35, Taylor Marshall 13:24, Lindsey Lamar 13:25, Morgan Palmer 13:46, and Hannah Manry 14:01. 

In the varsity boys division, there were 131 runners and the team finished 7th out of 17 teams. Cordale Harrison was 15th in 17:53, Matthew Hook, 16th in 17:54, Andrew Hamel 18:55, Jonathan Bourquin 19:40, and Fernando Lopez 19:58.
