My weight had been like a yo-yo from junior high until about age 76. In 1954, I was drafted into the US Army just after college and marriage in that order. In Japan the weight went from about 230 to 185. During the next 56 years it went up and down “Big Time.”  In the 70s it went from about 256 down to 185 and back up again. I wrote “Give up the Fat, The Diet Fat to Fit Work Book. “  I did the radio and book signing scene, hit the speaking circuit, started gaining back the pounds, took the dumb book off the market and back to being fat I went.

In the mid-90s my health took a new twist. I ran out of energy, could not sleep well at night and started to doze off during the day. I got fired once for sleeping on the job. The blood pressure went to 204 over 105. All the fad diets were failing me. The powerful pills were not helping. Every quick fix diet was failing faster.
