Services for Janice Elaine Piper, 73, of Canton were held Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2016, at Eubank Funeral Home in Canton with Bro. Mike Roberson officiating. 

Interment was at Haven of Memories Memorial Park in Canton.

Mrs. Piper died Jan. 30, 2016, in Grand Saline.

She was born Jan. 2, 1943, in Bessemer, Ala. to Woodrow Wilson and Claudine Dabbs Lagle.

She grew up in Hueytown, Ala. where she graduated high school and then attended the University of Alabama where she met Bill, her husband, of 53 years.

They moved to Canton in the 1980s. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Canton where she worked in the nursery and sang in the choir. She was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing, spending time with her family, holidays and traveling.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her husband, Bill Piper of Canton; son, Paul Dee and Silke Piper of Temple; daughter, Pam Piper of Dallas; daughter, Penni and Scott Gordon of San Marcus; grandsons, Piper Gordon and Parker Gordon; sisters, Gail Allcorn and Rebecca Smith; and brother, Michael Lagle.
