New flooring complete at VZC Library

The Van Zandt County Library is open with new flooring. Come check it out at 317 First Monday Lane.

The new flooring for the Van Zandt County Library is complete. The trustees have cleaned the floors and the mini library has been moved back into the main

Library. The Library staff thanks everyone that helped make this possible.

Twenty-eight different volunteers helped with some phase of the move.

"We are thankful to the City of Canton for budgeting for the new flooring, to The Friends of the Library for purchasing paint and painting the walls, to Judge Don Kirkpatrick and Commission Tim West for overseeing the move part of the project and to each individual that helped. A special thank you goes to the president of the Library Advisory Board, Russell Harris for coordinating between the county, city and the flooring company. This was almost an impossible task but with the help of many, we were able to get this done! We had 12 volunteers that came for our Saturday workday to finish up organizing the books," said Susie Pulley, director of the VZC Library.
