There and back again, VZC Library returns
The new floor is down. The shelves are in place. Most of the books are where they belong. The Buchanan Room is ready to host meetings.
The staff and volunteers are exhausted! The Van Zandt County Library is open for business on the regular schedule, with all features back in place.
Volunteers and staff who did the monumental job of moving everything ‘there and back’ included (in alphabetical order are, the trusties, Anderson, Graham, Hernandez, Holleman, Howell, Jones, Lipsey, McRoy , Rowden, Vance, Walker and Witt; individuals, Charlotte Bledsoe, Suezette Branton, Sandra Briley;, Lonnie Browning, Lacy Elliott, Jack Evans, Susan Evans, Neal Gannon, Sandra Giles, Tommy Gilliam, Russell Harris, Pat Howerton, Jennifer Jones, Sandra Jones, Gary Jorgensen, Wanda Keener, Judge Don Kirkpatrick,, Mike Mayfield, Pattie Mayfield, Benja Mize, Abby Muse, Beth Muse, David Pulley, Stacy Pulley, Ed Randolph, John Sherwin Mimi Sherwin, Ann Spruiell and Commissioner Tim West and staff, Kitty White, Tonja Garten and Director Susie Pulley did hours of work that were no way included in their job descriptions.
The Friends of the Library met April 11. The following officers were elected, Suezette Branton, President; Tonja Garten, Secretary; Ann Spruiell, Treasurer; Sandra Giles, Reporter and Nancy Buchanan, Memorial Responses. After the meeting, friends served lunch to many of the volunteers.
