New Friends leaders

Mayor Lou Ann Everett installed new officers for The Friends of Van Zandt County Library. Everett used a library-theme to give a presentation on the duties and responsibilities of the officers and included a book for each office. Taking part were, from left, Everett, President Suezette Branton, Reporter Sandra Giles, Memorial Correspondent Nancy Buchanan, Secretary Tonja Garten and Treasurer Ann Spruiell. The Friends take off the summer months and will resume their monthly meetings in September on the second Tuesday of each month.
