Services for Ima Vernell Daugherty, 83, of Wills Point, were held Monday, July 18, 2016, at the Eubank Funeral Chapel in Canton with Bro. Steve Glosup and Pam Daugherty officiating.  Interment was in Haven of Memories.

Mrs. Daugherty died Thursday, July 14, 2018, in Wills Point.  She was born Aug. 6, 1932, in Wills Point where she resided most of her life.  She was one of eight children born to Fred and Bessie Baker. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters; two brothers; husband, Johnny F. Daugherty Sr.; and a son, Freddie Daugherty.

She was employed in local sewing factories before retiring.  She loved animals, plants and gardening.  She was baptized in the Baptist faith. 

Survivors include her son, Johnny F. Daugherty Jr. and his wife, Pam; one step-grandson; one step-great-grandson; two brothers; one sister; and numerous nieces and nephews.
