Services for Ronny Gene Thornburgh, 49, of Myrtle Springs, were held Thursday, July 21, 2016, at Eubank Funeral Home in Canton.  Interment was at Haven of Memories in Canton.

Mr. Thornburgh died Monday July 18, 2016, in Forney.

He was born March 20, 1967, in Canton, to James and Gatha Denton Thornburgh.

He grew up in Myrtle Springs and was in the shop working on tractors and cars from the time he could walk. He could fix just about anything. He was a kind and generous man who enjoyed helping others. He was a strong man with a warm heart. His two greatest loves in life were dirt track racing and working. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his father, James Andrew Thornburgh of Myrtle Springs; brother, Jimmy and Marcia Thornburgh of Wills Point; sister, Tammy and Jeff Haley of Canton; girlfriend, Jeanette Owen of Canton; and niece, Jennifer DeSilva of Canton.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Gatha Belle Denton Thornburgh; wife, Dianne Thornburgh; and nephew, Duane Haley.
