Bake sale successful for VZCHS

The Van Zandt County Humane Society held its final fundraiser for 2016 at Higginbotham Ace Hardware in Canton.
Carol Whatley, president of the organization, spearheaded the event. "Our annual Thanksgiving Bake Sale is such fun, and many people in the community look forward to it. The team at Ace Hardware is always so generous with their assistance and space for us to set up, and we appreciate them. Usually, when we are ready to leave, we will offer the employees whatever they wish at half price, but this year we sold completely out before noon. This event was a real success, and we thank everyone who contributed."
