Services for Joy Davis Rogers, 83, of Tyler, were held Monday, Nov. 28, 2016, at Eubank Funeral Home in Canton with Brandon Holiski officiating.

Interment was at Haven of Memories Memorial Park in Canton.

Mrs. Rodgers went to be with our Lord on Nov. 25, 2016, in Tyler.

She was born on June 4, 1933, in Van Zandt County to Aubrey and Gladys Ashley Davis.

She attended school in Martins Mill before moving to Canton where she graduated in 1950 at the age of 16. She married her high school sweetheart, Goode Rogers, of Canton Aug. 26, 1950, and had daughters Debra Kay in 1951, and Susan in 1954.

Moye’s, as she was known to all her family, greatest love was care of her husband, Rog, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was a great seamstress making almost all her girls clothes while they were growing up. After moving to Tyler from Longview in 1979, she joined the East Quilters Guild and made many beautiful quilts.

She is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Donna Davis Bramblett; “Gran” Alice Shinn Davis; and great-grandson, Alex Bisetti.

She is survived by her loving husband 66 years, Goode Rogers of Tyler; daughter, Debbie and Donny Elrod of Humble; daughter, Suzy and Bill Bisettie of Longview; grandsons, Colby Bisetti; Ryan and Brittany Bisetti; granddaughters, Brooke and Dale Jones, Brandi Espitia; great-grandchildren, Logan and Tate Bisetti, Raven and Adrien Espitia, and Ashlyn and Addison Jones.
