Services for James Edward Randell, 84 of Canton, were held Thursday, Jan. 5, 2017, at Eubank Funeral Home with Bro. Steve Glosup and Bro. Ronnie Daniell officiating.
Mr. Randell passed away Sunday, Jan. 1, 2017,   at his home in Canton.
He was born Feb. 16, 1932 in Trenton, Tenn. to Jesse James Randell and Delana Mae Cupples.
He grew up in Kemp and moved to Dallas for a short time before settling down in Canton in 1972. He married Beverly Jean Elliott in 1989 and they spent the next 17 years together until her death in 2006. He enjoyed playing his guitar with friends and family in his spare time.
He is survived by his daughter, Carolyn and James Lawhorn; son, James and Tina Randell; daughter, Nancy Gail and Doug Bolin; daughter, Libby and Doug Brashear; daughter, Rhonda and Leonard Owens; daughter, Shelly and Terry Dickerson; daughter, Kim and Chris Strickland; son, Kenneth and Sherry Randell; 16 Grandchildren; 28 Great Grandchildren; sister, Janie Estill; brother, Bobby and Charlie Randell; brother, Billy Wayne and Jeanette Randell; sister, Mildred and Carter Jenkins; and brother, Danny Randell.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Jesse and Delana Randell; wife, Beverly Randell; granddaughter, April Whitley, brother, Jerry Randell; brother, B.F. Randell and sister, Jean Curtis.
Interment was at Old Bethel Cemetery in Canton.
