Memorial services for Jewel Jeter, 74, Canton, are scheduled for 2 p.m.  Saturday, Jan. 21, 2017, at Oak Grove Baptist Church with Bro. Randy Crudgington officiating. Mrs. Jeter passed away Jan. 11, 2017, at her home in Canton.
Jewel Lucille Jeter was born July 15, 1942, in St. Louis, Mo., to Lennie Jewel Franklin and Lida Wave Kelly Franklin. She owned and operated Jewel’s Restaurant in Canton. She had lived in Canton most of her life and was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and two children, David Jeter and Colette Jeter.
Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Wayne Jeter of Canton; sister, Pat Perkins; five grandchildren, Sarah Kellam, Charlie Watts, Madison Harris, Hannah Streeter, and Rachel Mayne; six great-grandchildren, Leah Kellam, Brian David Kellam, Weston Watts, Jackson Harris, Cooper Harris, and Harper Colette Harris.
