County 4-H Clubs Celebrate National “4-H Club Week - Van Zandt, accounting 4H’ers observing National 4-H Club Week March 4-11. The local 4-H club members will join more than two and a quarter million boys and girls in rural urban and suburban areas throughout the United States.
Miss Barbara Akers and James Risinger, county assistant H. D. Agent and agricultural agent say they will share with other Alumni. These 21.000,000 men and women throughout the country have participated in the past 50 years since the movement started and are now benefiting from the training and experience they received as 4-H members.
The assistant home demonstration agent and the assistant agricultural agent revealed that the following events celebrating National 4-H Club Week have been planned: 4-H window exhibits in towns over the county, King and Queen Coronation on March 11.
Nationally, 4-H Club Week will be highlighted in Washington, D. C. When six members chosen as delegates will present the annual 4-H Club “Report to the Nation.” The report will summarize in stories and pictures outstanding 4-H accomplishments and pay tribute to the thousands of former 4-H’ers whose success and attainments now exemplify the high ideals of 4-H in achievement, leadership and good citizenship.
