Grace Shipman

1932-2017

 

Grace Lucille Page Smithart Shipman went to be with the Lord on April 3, 2017.

She was born in Canton to Gordon and Kathleen Page on Jan. 26, 1932.

She is survived by two daughters, Elaine Newsome of Spring and Edith and Tom Raney of Denton; grandchildren, Kaleb and April Garcia and Jennea and Brandon Mangum; four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Charles Page of Canton and Tom and Christine Page of Whitehouse; one sister-in-law, Gay Page; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

She lived in several places in Texas before returning to Canton for retirement. She never met a stranger and was loved by all. Her greatest joy was serving her Lord and being active in his ministry. She also loved good food and socializing, playing 42 or Chicken Foot dominoes with her dear friends. She had a wonderful smile that could light up a room and a great sense of humor.

Visitation was held Saturday, April 8, 2017 with funeral services following at Lakeside Baptist Church, Canton.
