Hawks edge past Eagles in Regional Quarterfinals

The Canton Eagles were a force to be reckoned with on the diamond during the 2017 season, sweeping their way through District 13-4A play with a perfect 10-0 record before adding bi-district and Area round titles in recent weeks.

Canton’s dream season officially drew to a close May 18-19 in the Regional Quarterfinal round of the playoffs as the Eagles fell in each of the first two games of a best-of-three series against perennial baseball power Texarkana Pleasant Grove.

The first two games of the series were originally scheduled to be played in Canton before game one was flipped to Texarkana May 18.
