Pct. 2 JP Judge Daniell announces retirement

On Tuesday, July 11 Van Zandt County Precinct 2 Judge Ronnie Daniell presented a letter of intent to retire to VZC Judge Don Kirkpatrick.
Judge Daniell will have served the citizens of Pct. 2 and Van Zandt County for 14 years and nine months as of his planned retirement date at noon, Friday, Sept 8.
Judge Daniell said that he appreciated the citizens of Van Zandt County for allowing him to “be their servant.”
“I appreciate the citizen’s confidence in allowing me to be their servant. I was first elected in November 2002. The past three elections I ran unopposed. Over the years, many changes have occurred in the justice courts throughout Texas. It seems that every legislative session more and more responsibilities are passed down to the justice courts to handle. This year is no different. There are going to be many changes are going to become effective Sept. 1,” said Judge Daniell.
