The Light Show on Etheridge Road Canton family lights up the holidays
At 410 Etheridge Rd. in Canton, John and Kimberly Kroha along with their daughter, Caroline, host one of the prime Halloween and Christmas events in Canton, The Light Show on Etheridge Road.
Since 2012, the Krohas have held a light show during the holidays at their home, which includes themed decorations beginning Oct.1 until Halloween and then Christmas decorations from Thanksgiving until New Year’s Eve.
Motivated by childhood memories, Kimberly said that inspiration behind the massive light show was “two-fold.”
“Our inspiration is two-fold. My husband has always loved the holidays. He's a really big kid that way and we are both pretty creative people. We like to see if we can an idea to work. Along with that, I was inspired to create a light show by my childhood memories. When I was growing up, we didn't have much money, and I always looked forward to my parents taking my sister and me driving around the neighborhood to look at Christmas lights with a thermos of hot chocolate. It was a great free source of fun for us,” said Kimberly. The family offers candy at Halloween and candy canes and hot cocoa at Christmas for visitors when they are able.
