Shirley Brown 1951-2018

Shirley Jean Mewborn Brown was born Sept. 4, 1951 in Myrtle Springs. She had been a resident of Van Zandt County all of her life and was a member of Highland Baptist Church.

She passed away at the age of 66 on Jan. 28, 2018 at her home. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sanford Griffin Mewborn and Ida Ruth Knox Mewborn.

A Memorial Service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 3, 2018 at Turner Baptist Church with Rev. Dan Tarno and Rev. Fred Cooper officiating.

Survivors include her husband of 16 years, Robert Brown of Canton; five children, Heather Doss Atkinson (Walter Beard), Crystal Lynn Vera (Albert), Edward Doss (April), Rachel McMahon (Phillip) and Jon Brown; grandchildren, Emmalee Ruth Doss, Ely Herbert Griffin Doss, Alfredo Delossantos III, Shelby Rene Delossantos, Ashley Delossantos, Amber Delossantos, Issac Delossantos, Brandon Delossantos, Cylee Delossantos, David Butler and Todd Atkinson; and great-grandchildren, Alfredo Matthew De Los Santos IV, Anthony Micheal De Los Santos, Adrian Manuel De Los Santos, Kaleb Delossantos, Jazibelle Delossantos, Issac Delossantos III and Ashlee Rose Atkinson.
