Adolphus Ermagene Poston, age 97, of Mineola, formerly of Alba, passed away Sunday, July 5, 2015, at Wood Memorial Nursing Home in Mineola.  Funeral service was held Wednesday, July 8, 2015, at Pleasant Ridge Chapel.  Rev. Services for Mary Kay Witherspoon, 75, of Edgewood, were held Thursday, June 25, 2015, at Eubank Funeral Home in Canton.  Interment was at DFW National Cemetery in Dallas.

She passed away Tuesday, June 23, 2015, in Grand Saline.

Mary was born December 21, 1939, in Dallas to Curtis and Charlie Setzler.

She was Methodist by faith and was married 56 years to Paul Witherspoon. Her hobbies included snow skiing and making a yearly trip to Colorado. Mary was very caring and loved spending time with her grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Paul Witherspoon and sister, Pat March.

Memorial services for Kenley Louis Leist, 32, of Ben Wheeler, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday, July 6, 2015, at the Eubank Funeral Chapel in Canton with Bro. Carlton Young officiating.

Mr. Leist passed away June 25, 2015, in Colmesneil.  He was born Nov. 28, 1982, in Arlington.

Kenley was a Baptist by faith.  He grew up in the DFW area and graduated from Trinity High School in Euless.  He had lived in East Texas for the past twelve years.  Kenley loved fishing and spending time outdoors.  He also enjoyed spending time with his favorite niece.  Kenley was preceded in death by his grandfather, William Leist.

Funeral services for Joan “Hen” Bell were held Saturday, June 27, 2015, at First Assembly of God Church in Wills Point. Burial followed at White Rose Cemetery under the direction of Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home in Wills Point.

Joan departed this life Friday, June 19, 2015, at her home in Canton.

Joan Marie Bell was born May 14, 1954, in Brenham, the third child of five, to George and Evelyn Harris Bell. She grew up and attended school in Brenham. Joan confessed her faith in Christ at an early age and became a member of New Hope Missionary Church in Brenham. She was a very active member in the choir and also loved singing quartet style with her sisters, known as the “Bell Sisters”.

Delbert Scott Westfall, 55, of Canton went to be with his Lord Monday, June 22, 2015, at his home. Scott was born to Delbert Clayton and Marguerite Myler Westfall on July 7, 1957, in Dallas.

Scott was a member of Crossroads Church of Canton. He was married to his precious wife, Aquila, for 30 years. He graduated from Lake Highlands in 1978. Scott enjoyed hunting, golf and was very active with fund raising for needy families through his church and as a member of the Canton Lions Club.  Scott was instrumental in starting the First Lions Club Benefit Golf Tournament. Scott was a good man that simply loved spending time with his family and friends and serving those in need as well as being faithful to his lord.

Scott is preceded in death by Sister, Beth Westfall.

Millicent Frances Sheridan Spaziano Clark was born Jan.3, 1925, in Dallas and died June 22, 2015, in Wills Point.  There will be a Memorial Service at Lakeside Baptist Church in Canton on Thursday, June 25 at 4 p.m. with Dr. Mark Moore officiating.  Burial will be at Grove Hill Memorial Park.

Mrs. Clark retired from Burden Brothers, Inc. in Dallas in 1994.  She was a member of Lakeside Baptist Church in Canton. She held memberships with Mike H. Thomas, OES 951, Shalman Temple 90, Daughters of the Nile in Dallas, Van Zandt County Genealogical Society and Daughters of the Republic of Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James M. and Orlene Fooshee Sheridan; husbands, Lt. Vincent J. Spaziano killed in WW II and Garland N. Clark who she was married to for 54 years.

Lucille “Lucy” Elizabeth Lewis died in her home in Canton on June 8, 2015. 

Cremation is under the direction of Hilliard Funeral Home in Van.  A private family memorial will be held. She was born March 8, 1932, in Scranton, Pa. to George Geier and Verna Geier.

Lucille was brave, smart, honest, happy and forgiving.  She was a loving Christian woman. 

She volunteered at several Canton nursing homes, called bingo and brought goods to the residents.  She selflessly collected stuffed animals and clothing and blankets for children and donated them to the Salvation Army during holidays. 

Lucille always found time to make sure the neighborhood kids had a ride to Sunday School.  She loved her community.  She gave back every chance she had and was a phenomenal woman.  Lucille was loved dearly by everyone she met.

Memorial services for Larry Gerald Gann, 67, Canton, were held Friday, June 12, 2015,  at St. Therese Catholic Church, Canton.

Mr. Gann passed away June 8, 2015, at his home.

He was born June 11, 1947, in Truman, Ark. to Tommie Gann and Thelma Welch Gann. He had lived in Canton for eight years, moving from Lonpoc, Calif. 

He was a heavy equipment operator and enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing and skeet shooting.

Survivors include his son, Tommy Gann and wife, Shona of Canton; daughter, Christine Condit and husband, Scott of Niceville, Fla.; and eight grandchildren, Raina Gann, Joseph Gann, Samantha Gann, Anna Gann, Emily Kenoyer, Lana Kenoyer, Landon Condit and Caleb Condit.
