Services for Henry Robert Head, 80, of the Wise Community, were held Sunday, Jan. 6, 2019, at Eubank Funeral Home with Bro. Don Teague and Kelvin Reed officiating. Interment was in Haven of Memories.

He passed away at his home on Jan. 2, 2019.  He was born Feb. 12, 1938, in Mena, Ark. to Arthur Ervin and Anna Lee Beasley Head. 

Services for Betty Lou Taylor, 62, of Canton were held Thursday, Jan. 3, 2019, at Eubank Funeral Home in Canton. She passed away Dec. 29, 2018, in Tyler.

She was born June 14, 1956, in Terrell to Johnnie Samuel Peters and Velma Mae Hailey.

She grew up in Terrell and graduated from Terrell High School in 1974. She married Ronnie Taylor on May 6, 1983.

Service for Barbara Ann Galloway, 83, of Canton were held Saturday, Jan. 5, 2019, at Eubank Funeral Home in Canton with Mike Newby officiating. She passed away Jan. 2, 2019, in Athens.

She was born Sept. 16, 1935, to Jesse Donald Henson and Helen Vera Hudson.

Services for Gary Dwayne Cockerham, 77, of Canton were held Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2019, at First United Methodist Church in Canton. He passed away Dec. 28, 2018 in Grand Saline.

He was born Feb. 25, 1941, in Brawley, Calif. to Harold Matthew Cockerham and Myrtle Lee Shaw.

He grew up in Dallas from the age of 12. He attended South Oak Cliff High School and Kimball High School.

Services for Colton York Burgett, 19, of Eustace were held Jan. 1, 2019, at Eubank Funeral Home in Canton with Bro. Dan Tarno and Bro. Randy Crudgington officiating.

He was born May 30, 1999. in Desoto to Michael York Burgett and Kimberly Dawn Bauman.

He passed away Dec. 27, 2018, in Dallas.

He was a lifelong fighter of Cerebral Palsy and Chronic Lung Disease. He graduated from Athens High School and played baseball and basketball in the Challenger League.

Services for Christene Tidwell, 93, of Edgewood, were held Sunday, Dec. 30, 2018, at Eubank Funeral Home in Canton with Bro. David Fortner officiating.  Interment was in Oak Hill Cemetery.

She passed away at her home on Dec. 27, 2018.  She was born Nov. 4, 1925, in Edgewood to Ernest and Maude Beard Preston. 

She was a member of the Walnut Springs Baptist Church in Canton.  She lived most of her life in Edgewood and retired from the First National Bank after many years of service. 

A memorial service for Charles Andrew Jordan, 30, of Canton, was held Saturday, Dec. 29, 2018, at Crossroads Church in Canton. A private graveside service was held in Holly Springs Cemetery in Martins Mill.

He passed away Dec. 21, 2018, in Forney. He was born June 21, 1988, in Lawrenceville, Ga. to Charles Cooper Jordan and Hazel Lynn Howansky Jordan.

Services for George Marvel Hicks Jr., 91, of Dallas were held Saturday, Dec. 15, 2018, at Eubank Funeral Home in Canton.  Interment was at Cool Springs Cemetery in Canton. He passed away at his home Dec. 10, 2018, in Dallas.

He was born Sept. 7, 1927, in Manvel to George Marvel Hicks Sr. and Cathern Elizabeth Johns.

He grew up in South and West Texas before graduating from Canton High School. He joined the military in 1946 to serve his country.

Services for Robert Owen Roberts, 71, of Austin, were held Monday, Dec. 3, 2018, at Eubank Funeral Home in Canton. He passed away Nov. 28, 2018, in Austin.

He was born Jan. 22, 1947, in Wills Point to Glen and Coylah Evelyn Rosendahl Roberts.

He grew up in Wills Point and graduated from Wills Point High School. He joined the Marines in 1967, and served in Vietnam.

He worked as an architect for 32 years for the State of Texas. He enjoyed reading and history in his spare time.
