With loved ones by her side, Joann Bauner Sauseda, of Grand Saline, died March 25, 2016, at Hospice of East Texas.

Mrs. Sauseda was born Sept. 14, 1942, and her parents were the late Otto and Rosalie Bauner of Savannah, Ga.

She is survived by the love of her life, Rudy Sauseda of Grand Saline; son and daughter in law, Chance and Shari Sauseda of Grand Saline; son, Tate Morrison of Lake Fork; daughter and son in law, RoseAnne and Pat Anderson of Rockwall; five grandchildren, Kacie, Duke, Callie, Ashton and Savannah; and great-grandchildren, Easton, Addison and Jaxon. 

She was preceded in death by her son, Robert Duke Morrison who passed away 38 years ago.

She and Rudy married on June 24, 1968, and together with Chance, moved to Grand Saline in 1981.

Memorial services for Thomas Lance Williams 53, of Mabank were held Saturday March 26, 2016, at Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home Chapel with Dustin Bartee officiating.

Mr. Williams was born Aug. 8, 1962 in Tyler to the late D.G. “Hoss” and Bobbie Jean Webb Martin Williams. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving for many years.

He was preceded in death by parents; brother, Stanley Williams and uncle, Larry Webb.

Survivors include his longtime companion, Nancy Parker, Mabank; brother; Michael Williams and wife, Petra, Whitehouse; stepchildren, Dawn Parker MacAvoy and husband, James, Athens and Matthew Parker, Athens; grandchildren, Kraven Parker, Adeline MacAvoy and Emma MacAvoy all of Athens; aunt, Marjorie Webb, Murchison; sister-in-law, Nancy Williams, Canton; two nieces; three nephews; and numerous cousins.

A most wonderful life ended March 25, 2016, when our Master’s call was answered by Ima Joy Skinner.

Mrs. Skinner was 85 when she passed away in Wills Point.

She was born Oct. 7, 1926, in Wylie to Addison Dewey Moore and Roxie Mahala Galylor Moore.

She grew up in Dallas and moved to Grand Saline in 1969. She was very creative and enjoyed dancing, painting, singing, and sewing. She was devoted to her family and always loved family gatherings. She was married to Dean Skinner for 58 years before his passing in 2007.

Services for Gary "Jack" Wayne Baker, 71, of Whitton, were held Monday, March 28, 2016, at the Eubank Funeral Chapel in Canton with Bro. Steve Glosup officiating. 

Interment was in Tarver Cemetery.

Mr. Baker died at home March 25, 2016.  He was born Oct. 27, 1944, in Dallas to William and Birtha McNelly Baker. 

He grew up in Colfax. After marrying Marie, they lived in Mesquite and then moved to Canton in 1979.  He retired from Sweetheart Cups, now a part of Solo Cups.  He was Assembly of God by faith.  He loved raising cows and gardening.  He was a living example of the marriage vows: always loving and caring for Marie during her many years of illness.

Services for Emma Lee McClellan, 87, of Arlington, were held Saturday, March 26, 2016, at Eubank Funeral Home with Bro. Steve Glosup officiating.

Graveside services will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery in Edgewood.

Mrs. McClellan died March 23, 2016, in Arlington.

She was born April 5, 1928, in Ben Wheeler to Frankie and Mammie Phillips Herron.

She was a longtime member of Wynnewood Baptist Church of Dallas. She was known by many as the best fisherman around. She retired to West Tawakoni where she enjoyed fishing with her husband.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Earnest Leonard McClellan; and brother, Troy Dee Herron.

Services for William Clyde “Billy” Deen, 99, of Canton, were held March 21, 2016, at Eubank Funeral Home in Canton.

Mr. Deen died March 18, 2016, in Wills Point.

He was born on Jan. 1, 1917, to John Egbert and Duron Turner Deen.

He was a member of the Baptist Church since he was 8 years old and was the oldest member of the Masonic Lodge. He received his 70 years pen in 2015.

During World War II he served four years in the Army Air Corps. He was the Van Zandt County Clerk for eight years during the 1950s and later he retired from the Texas State Highway Department.

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Ruth Deen; brother, Jack Deen; brother, Dewitt Deen and sister, Thelma Lee Hanson.

Services for Wiley H. “Buzz” McCauley, 81, of Canton, were held Sunday, March 20, 2016, at Eubank Funeral Home in Canton. He died March 14, 2016, in Tyler.

Mr. McCauley was born May 20, 1934, to Wilma Bryant and Ionne Patterson McCauley.

He was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Canton and served as the treasurer. He grew up in the Garrison area. He served two years in the Navy and six years in the Reserve. He taught school in Canton and Van. He retired from LTV as a programmer analyst. He was an avid reader and worked with the Junior Achievement in Arlington. He was on the Committee for the Norris Birdwell Stadium Signage. 

He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, James McCauley.

Mr. Williams died March 21, 2016, in Dallas. He was born Feb. 22, 1958, in Grand Saline.

Graveside services for Harold Jean Tanner, 77, of Van, are scheduled for 11:15 a.m., Thursday, March 24, 2016, at DFW National Cemetery in Dallas, with Brother Steve Glosup officiating.

Mr. Tanner died March 20, 2016, in Grand Saline.

He was born Jan. 13, 1939, in Odem, to Adam Fontenot and Rosalie Self.

He retired after 24 years of military service in the U.S. Army. He was awarded the Bronze Star for his service in Vietnam. Harold is a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was a member of the American Legion and also the Vietnam Helicopter Pilots Association.

He is preceded in death by his parents and adopted parents, Leonard and Mildred Tanner.

Services for Garland Eugene Brandon, 95, of Lufkin, were held Tuesday, March 22, 2016, at Colfax Methodist Church in Canton. Graveside services were held at Haven of Memories Memorial Park in Canton.

Mr. Brandon died March 19, 2016, in Lufkin.

He was born on Sept. 23, 1920, to Vernon and Claudia Clower Brandon.

He was the oldest member of Colfax Methodist Church. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge.

He served in the Army Air Force being stationed in Europe. He worked for Berry Cigar and Candy for 39 years before retiring.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and sister and brother-in-law, Rachel and Jarrell Oliver.

He is survived by his nephew, Bruce and Tammy Oliver of Nacogdoches; niece, Pat and Don Zylks of Portland; niece, Kay and Gary Ivy; two great nieces; two great nephews and four great-great nieces.
