Services for Billie Ruth Nicholson, 88, of Quinlan, were held Friday, May 6, 2016, at Eubank Funeral Home in Canton, with Bro. Dan Tarno officiating.  Interment was at Leonard Cemetery in Fannin County.

Mrs. Nicholson died May, 4, 2016, in Wills Point.

She was born March 26, 1928, in Leonard to George and Alice Stanfield.

She grew up in Leonard where she attended school.  She worked as a seamstress for most of her life. She lived in Mesquite for several years before moving to Quinlan. She enjoyed sewing and working in her yard.  She was a Baptist by faith.

She was survived by her grand daughters, Cendy Gass and Tammy Thornhill; six great- grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; sister, Katherine Bilyeu; and brother, Louis Stanfield.

Services for Bettie Mae Chaney, 80, of Canton, were held May 7, 2016 at Eubank Funeral Chapel in Canton with Bro. Steve Glosup and Bro. David Fortner officiating.

Interment was in Haven of Memories Memorial Park in Canton.

Mrs. Chaney died May 4, 2016, in Canton.

She was born on Dec. 3, 1935, in Lancaster, to J.D. and Elizabeth Barnett Cole.

Everyone knew her as Mrs. Chaney and she enjoyed being around people.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Will Tom Chaney; and a brother, James Cole.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Wendy and David Flottman of Waxahachie; grandchildren, Jay and Jeff Flottman; sisters, Hettie Smith and Shirley Davis and a brother, Bobby Cole and Sandra.

Services for Wilma Rash, 88, of Grand Saline, were held Sunday, May 1, 2016, at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Mark Pedersen officiating.

Interment was in Haven of Memories, Canton.

Mrs. Rash died April 28, 2016, in Quitman.  She was born Aug. 29, 1927, in Colfax.

Memorials may be made to FUMC of Grand Saline.

Services for O.T. Nelson, 92, of Canton were held Tuesday, May 3, 2016, at Eubank Funeral Chapel in Canton with Bro. Jay Gravis officiating.  Interment was at Able Springs Cemetery.

Mr. Nelson died April 30, 2016, in Grand Saline.

He was born Feb. 26, 1924, in Caddo, Okla. to Oscar Thomas and Betty McLaughlin Nelson.

He grew up working on a farm in Caddo Mills.  He served in the U.S. Army. In 1952, he moved to Mesquite and started Nelson Trailer Sales and Service.  He also worked for Ford Motor Company. After twenty years, he moved to Canton and became a rancher. He enjoyed working with his hands building bird houses, horses and ranching. He was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church and a member of the VFW.

Mr. Haus was born Oct. 17, 1940, and died April 19, 2016, in Canton.

Mr. Haus is surved by his wife, Shirley Haus; daughters, Becky Gibson and Theresa Haus; sons, Tony Beverlin and Joseph L. Haus Jr.; grandchildren, Douglas Gibson, Matt Gibson, Marsha Beverlin Holmes, Nicholas Beverlin and Brandon Beverlin, Jacob Haus and Christina Haus; and great-grandchildren, Landan Haus, Logan Gibson, Tylar Gibson, Savannah Holmes and McKenzie Holmes.

Services for Jim “Buck” Pearce, 57, of Grand Saline were held Sunday, May 1, 2016, at Lloyd James Funeral Home Chapel with Ron Wells officiating.  Burial was in Oakland Cemetery in Canton.

Mr. Pearce died Wednesday, April 27, 2016, at his home in Grand Saline.

He was born June 21, 1958, in Garland to Willie Ray and Norman Jean May Pearce.  He graduated from Edgewood High School, worked construction, was a ranch hand in Wyoming and worked in the oilfield workover service for 30 years. 

He was employed by Mercer Well Service and kept rigs out for BASA Resources.  He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to fish and hunt all over the world, having been to Zambia, Namibia and South Africa, Russia, Mexico, Aruba, Canada, Australia, Hawaii and many Alaskan fishing trips.

Memorial services for Jerrel Dean Neal Saunders, 84, of Grand Saline, are scheduled for 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 7, 2016, at Bartley Funeral Home, with Bro. Jimmy Dickinson II officiating.

Mrs. Saunders died April 28, 2016, in Tyler.  She was born Jan. 2, 1932, in Grand Saline to Sidney Johnson and Zora Hudgins Neal. 

She worked as a waitress and lived all of her life in Grand Saline.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Pree Saunders; daughter, Laquita Brewer; brother, Kenneth Neal; three sisters, Lorena Marshall, Vertie Stone, and Willie Mae Woods; and granddaughter, Kelley Harris.

Services for Cleborn Odell "Peanut" Love, 91, of Grand Saline, were held Monday, May 2, 2016, at Sand Flat Baptist Church with Bro. Ed Ridge and Bro. Dennis Morris officiating.

Interment was in Sand Flat Cemetery under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home.
Mr. Love died April 28, 2016, in Tyler. He was born Oct. 1, 1924, in Wood County.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of East Texas, Gideons International or Sand Flat Baptist Church.

Services for Lennie Mae English, 91, of Edgewood were held April 19, 2016, at Eubank Funeral Home in Canton.  Interment was at Haven of Memories in Canton.

She died Saturday, April 16, 2016, in Canton.

Mrs. English was born May 1, 1924, in Tipton County, Tenn. to Frank and Bessie Beaver Ferguson.

She grew up in Tennessee and moved to Texas in the 1950s. She enjoyed working, family, farm life, taking care of her cows and southern gospel music. She was a member of Pleasant Union Baptist Church in Edgewood.

She is survived by her daughter, Sara Hutson; son, Arnold and Russie English; son, Lynn and Vern English; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, David English; one sister and two brothers.

Interment was at Haven of Memories in Canton.
