A PASTOR’S MUSINGS

Jesus Savior

We should bow at Jesus name

The sweetest name on earth

Come directly from our Father God

By the means of virgin birth

He was born to live forever

Because he had no sin

He had one earthly purpose

Salvation for women and men

He even cleaned the Temple

He healed and taught and raised the dead

And on two different occasions

He over ten thousand people fed

He has unlimited power

Walking on water was a way out

He said Simon come to me

The result was Simon’s doubt

Mankind called him phony

And sought to take his life

He came to serve God’s purpose

A sacrifice for sins and strife

If you have not looked to Him

And of your sins confess

Your chances of salvation

Will each day grow less and less

But trust Him and praise Him

Declutter and Destress

submitted by Country Place Senior Living of Canton Pine and Canton Mulberry

“Have nothing in your house that you do not know to be useful,
or believe to be beautiful.”
~ William Morris

Spring is here.  We can emerge from our self-imposed hibernation and open the windows to let in some fresh air.

Now, we’ve all heard the saying ‘April Showers Bring May Flowers’ reminding us that even the most troublesome situations can have positive outcomes.  The same goes for spring cleaning.  While it isn’t something we necessarily look forward to, the cleaning and de-cluttering itself is therapeutic: it makes us feel better and more productive.

In case of tornado, go to the bathroom

When the tornado hit Van Sunday, May 10, one family I know crowded eight people into the bathroom of their home until the
tornado passed over their home.

Why the bathroom?

A Pastor’s Musings

There is A Hand

There is a hand so mighty

Yet this world can’t even see

It was pierced and bled on Calvary cross

Buying freedom for you and me

That freedom was not temporary

Eternity won’t see it end

The hand that bled that fateful day

Belonged to the world’s best friend

That hand lifted up robbed sin of power

And holds the world in place

Provides food for the tiny sparrow

And even feeds the human race

That hand extended says many things

The foolish man says it isn’t real

But the nail print in the middle

Is proof of the Father God’s seal

So trust that hand for all your needs

And never doubt its power

It will keep you safe not for a day

But until your final hour

Still many myths about wearing seat belts

When it comes to wearing your seat belts, some motorists may believe that they are protected by the size of their vehicle, their seating position, or where they are driving. Truth is that wearing a seat belt is the best way to protect yourself and your passengers in a crash. Fortunately, most Texans now buckle up, but some groups of motorists still aren’t taking the message to heart and aren’t consistently using seat belts. Let’s look at the myths about wearing a seat belt.
