Stanley W. Dupree Sr.

1950 - 2016

Stanley Dupree departed from this life to be with his Lord on Oct. 21, 2016. He was greeted by those who had preceded him; parents, Inez and R.S. Dupree; sisters, Nona Dupree, Bernice Hartley and DeNell Hartley; brothers, Donald Woolsey and Claudie Earl Woolsey. Also to show him the best fishing spots was father-in-law, Wayne E. Davis; son-in-law, SSgt Steven W. White; and nephew, Teddy Ray Hartley.

Memorial services for Russell Louden, 94, Canton, will be held at a later date at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. Mr. Louden passed away on May 26, 2017, at his home.

He was born Jan. 23, 1923, in St. Paul, Minn.to Russell Raymond Louden and Lois Hineman Louden. He served in the Army and was retired from Bell Helicopter where he worked as an engineer and manager. He recently received his 60 year Masonic Pin.

Larry Christopher Zapalac, 68, Canton, passed away on May 30, 2017 in Tyler.

He was born March 21, 1949 in Waco to Henry Zapalac and Johnnie Johnson Zapalac. He served as a US Marine during the Vietnam War, where he received a Purple Heart and other medals.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Rick Huston.

Worth, were held Friday, June 2, 2017 at Main Street Baptist Church with Kyle White and Johnny Knowlton officiating.  Interment will follow in Creagleville Cemetery.  He passed away May 26, 2017 in Ft. Worth.  He was born Sept. 19, 1993 in Sulphur Springs.

Memorial services for James Alvin Mosley, 89, of Athens were held Friday, May 26, 2017, at Eubank Funeral Home in Canton. Graveside services followed at Old Bethel Cemetery. Mr. Mosley passed away  May 24, 2017, in Tyler.

He was born Feb. 6, 1928, in Dallas to Dewey and Rachel Crouch Mosley.

He served in the Korean War and was proud of his military service. He liked working on cars and racing them.

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Dollie Mosley; stepdaughter, Dotti Fisher; great- granddaughter, Kaylie Mosley; and sister, Tresy Katrine.

He is survived by his sons, Robert Mosley, James Dewey and Debra Mosley; daughters, Sharon G. Mosley and Patricia and Jimmy Dowdy; stepson, Billy Frank and Patty Smith; 15 grandchildren, 27 great- grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.

Memorial services for Archie F. Gandy, 88, Seagoville, were held Tuesday, May 30, 2017, at Eubank Funeral Home in Canton with Bro. Benny Craft and Bro. Troy Watson officiating. Interment followed at Payne Springs Cemetery. Mr. Gandy passed away May 25, 2017.

He was born Sept. 4, 1928, in Payne Springs to Felton and Ruby Gandy of Eustace. He married Alice Charlton in Brenham Sept. 19, 1981.

He was a truck driver for 54 years and covered 48 states. He owned Archie’s Sand & Gravel until 2002.

He was Baptist by faith and was ordained as an evangelist May, 17, 1998, at Bethel Baptist Church in Seagoville. He was very active in church until his health declined.

His is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Alice Gandy; and sister, Charlene Gandy.

Jack Everett Lamb

Memorial services for Jack Everett Lamb, 89, of Myrtle Springs, were held Thursday, May 18, 2017, at Eubank Funeral Home in Canton with Chaplain Shane Barnes officiating.

Interment followed at Myrtle Springs Cemetery. He passed away peacefully May 15, 2017, at his home in Myrtle Springs.

He was born March 23, 1928, in Mabank to Thomas Everett Lamb and Dovie Isadora Greenlee.

He grew up in Kaufman County before moving to Dallas. He joined the Army at age 17 and served in Germany until he was discharged in 1947. He worked for Dallas Airmotive as an airplane mechanic for several years before retiring to Myrtle Springs. He enjoyed fishing, bowling, playing dominoes and listening to old music.
